A Six-Week Handbuilt Pottery Workshop at Nelson Waldorf School
Bring on a Creative New Year
Parents & Pots! is a six-week handbuilt pottery workshop created especially for parents and caregivers in the Nelson Waldorf School community. Beginning in January/February 2026, this workshop offers a welcoming way to bring in the creative New Year—with time to slow down, work thoughtfully with clay, and settle into a nourishing weekly rhythm.
Classes run from 8:30–10:30 a.m., providing a gentle morning space to create, connect, and recharge. Over six weeks, participants will explore foundational handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil, slab, and surface design through guided projects that encourage confidence and artistic exploration. Have an idea? Talk to us! No prior pottery experience is required.
Rooted in Waldorf values, Parents & Pots! honours handwork, process, and presence. This workshop offers parents a meaningful pause in the week—a chance to gather, create, and reconnect with their own creative life in a way that mirrors the artistic journey of their children at the school.
All materials are provided. Finished pieces will be glazed and fired for later pick-up.
Open to parents and caregivers of Nelson Waldorf School students.
