About eARTh Studios

Our Purpose

To offer a quiet sanctuary from the constant demands of life, online and off. Here, working with clay gives you space to slow down, find your centre, and let creativity come naturally.

Our Mission

To make room for meaningful learning in clay. Through classes, memberships, and studio time, we offer personal guidance for those just beginning and those ready to deepen their practice.

Our Vision

We imagine a cozy creative sanctuary where you leave with more than a finished piece: a deeper connection to your craft, your community, and yourself.

Our Values

We value patient teaching, creative exploration, and care for the people, materials, and Kootenay place that make this studio possible.

Core Values

  • Care for place: We recycle clay and draw inspiration from our Kootenay home.
  • Room to slow down: Working with clay invites calm, attention, and renewal.
  • Welcome for all ages: Children, teens, adults, and elders belong here.
  • Respect for the craft: We teach skills with care and value discovery as much as finished work.
  • Creative community: We make space to learn, share, and connect.

Dying into Becoming

How a Potter Mirrors Earth’s Evolution is a collaborative project between Diane Walters (life-long potter artist and teacher) eARTh Studios and local film-maker and Emmy Award winning editor Nancy Rosenblum. This film explores how a potter recreates and mimics earth’s evolution through change in relationship to our mountainous and fluvial landscape.
