Marie-Michel Tasse
Marie-Michel earned her Master of Arts in Education in 2005 and has dedicated a decade to teaching ceramics to high school students. For Marie-Michel, ceramics is as much about the process as it is about the outcome. The tactile experience of working with clay encourages individuals to be present, centered in their bodies, and in tune with their breath—a refreshing departure from the demands of a screen-driven world. Clay’s malleability mirrors the creative process; it can be shaped and reshaped, much like our own ideas and expressions.
Marie-Michel’s main objective is to enable students to practice various hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, while also encouraging them to explore the breadth of their own creativity.
